ABOUT
I work as an interim or fractional sustainability professional, and I talk about how to make sustainability improve your business’s profit.

I’ve worked in corporate sustainability since 2015, and on my own since 2021.
Today I work as an interim. I join a company for a few months, as one of the team, when a senior sustainability role can’t wait for a permanent hire or a new function has to be built. (Think of a more polite, corporate version of The Wolf in Pulp Fiction.)
Day to day, I work with companies on all kinds of things: strategy, implementation, reporting and communication. If you want to know more about that side of my work, you’ll find it at albertomonzonis.com.
30+
COMPANIES SINCE 2015
I studied environmental sciences at the Universitat de València. Then I spent five years at PwC, leading non-financial audits and advising companies on sustainability, CSR and climate.
Along the way, I took the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing and the Corporate Sustainability Management programme at Yale School of Management, and I mentored executives at ESADE.
In 2021 I left to go solo. By pure chance, I ended up working as an interim for a client, and I loved it. Working inside a company pulls you out of the theory. You have to think about what actually works, and stay to make it work.
Since 2015 I’ve worked with more than 30 companies, in luxury, beauty, pharma, retail, food, banking and energy. Puig, Cabka, IKEA, PepsiCo and Lidl are some of them.
